During the last eight months, NXT fans from all over the world have have been following the progress of the two AlphaRex's, as they travel around the world as part of the 10 year celebration of LEGO MINDSTORMS.
As this year draws to a close, I like to share the following behind the scene video of AlphaRex in New Zealand - which gives you an indication of the work many friends of LEGO, MINDSTORMS Community Partners and LEGO staff put in to make the AlphaRex Global RoadTrip into a success so far.
This is my last post for the year. So I like to wish all The NXT Step readers a happy and safe Xmas and new year. I hope the Santa brings you lots of plastics and NXT's for Xmas.
Happy Holidays
AlphaRex, BlueToothKiwi and Family

Hey BT Kiwi - It is good to see you blogging again.
I am a New Zealander living in Cali and I have not been back to NZ since I was 12.
That video got me all emotional and home sick - especially the music from the Air Zealand advert and some of the views of Auckland - it has changed a lot.
Is the song in Mowry?
Nice views and all, but with a road trip I would have expected to see Alpha Rex walking a bit.
Yes It is in Māori, Anonymous.
Thanks for the kind words, Rick. The music is the 'Pokarekare Ana' by Hayley Westenra .
I did not know Air NZ was using this song in their ad campaign. Thanks.

Thanks Anonymous for your comments.
But on the day we were filming, The AlphaRex simply wanted to stand around and do nothing. He was happy to just look at the views.
But you got a point - We should have included few of the moving shots in the video (ad we had plenty of them).
The music was great!
But the video wasn't...
:P
Tee hee hee!
It was great: all of it.
I assume you're the guy in the white cap.
Also, who's Linear Actuator in the video?
Pe-ads
Pe-Ads,
No - I am not the guy with the hat in the video - In fact I am not in it at all. LOL.
Rob (aka LinearActuator) is the guy with the glasses and blond hair and/or Black hat in the video.
