LEGO Brick 50th Anniversary Timeline

On gizmodo.com, there's a nice article in connection with the 50^th anniversary of the LEGO™ brick that features a timeline with milestones like the LEGOLAND, TECHNIC, Star Wars or MINDSTORMS sets. It also contains a lot of curiosity facts on LEGO™ (did you know, for instance, that one could reach the moon with stacking on each others only a tenth of the bricks that have been produced so far? Or that there are no less than 55,600 LEGO™ videos on YouTube presently?), the official anniversary video and a link to the "best LEGO sets ever" (a classification that certainly depends on the eye of the beholder to some extent, though).
