This component, called a "Technic Connector Hub with 3 Axles", was found on Bricklink . So far, no sets that I know of contain it -- could there be some interesting new sets around the corner with this piece? Can someone shed some light on this mystery? This piece could have many interesting potential applications with the NXT.

IIRC this part comes in one of the new Star Wars sets.

I looked up the inventories on the new Star Wars sets, and it comes in the Trade Federation MTT set. Mystery solved. I just hope LEGO makes the part available in more sets than just that one.

Well, the snowmobile treads are coming in more sets, so it looks like they're starting to reuse parts in other sets.

I would like to use the part for robotic infrastructures that involve 120 degrees, including hexagonal shapes. I would also like to try using the part in creating omniwheels.
It would be really nice to see the part on "Pick a brick" at LEGO Factory, along with other more hard to find parts.

I think the "Pick a brick" could use some new bricks... many of the parts I want can't be purchased directly from LEGO via the "pick a brick" system.
I could also do with some of these, They look great and would be a great asset to my collection.
