A Swedish site named "Smidigt" has a list of the "best ever" Mindstorm designs.
Here are their top five:
1) The "Etch-a-Sketch" NXT
2) Brian Davis' "Packbot" NXT
3) The "Segway" NXT
4) Eugene Tsai's "Gymnast" NXT
5) The RCX Auto Factory
See videos of their top five
Can anyone else point us to other NXT/Mindstorm creations that, in your opinion, should be on that list?

222doc's ASC
That is very good.
and also his biped walker.
Myles,
Where can we find doc's robots on the web?
I'd also nominate Dave Astolfo's domino-laying robot to the list.
Rick

Thanks, Myles.
I'd probably list the "Mindstorms Carousel", too:

I'm very happy to appear in this list, but I've got to admit any such list is very subjective. For instance, I've always been amazed by the SMART groups Crate Contraption robots (http://www.lugnet.com/org/us/smart/~48/CrateContraption), but to fully appreciate this you need to understand how really difficult something like that is. Likewise Kevin's Clauge's amazing walkers, the shape-shifting camera tank, etc. There are an amazing number of wildly impressive designs out there!

Brian,
Yes, of course, the list is subjective--that's why it's fun. It beats arguing over who was the best Red Sox team in history. (Although THIS year's team is the best ever assembled).:)

I would like to nominate the RCX Vending Machine created by

Al459163,
The RCX Vending Machine is an awesome creation. If you can point us to a video of the machine in action, please do.
Rick
Rick,
I wish I could but I don't think he made a video.
