Some of the MCP have been working on a bot for a competition between North America and Europe... here's a sneak look at one attempt (but not the actual competitor - that's a secret!), courtesy of Bryan B. via the lego-robotics newsgroup.

Oh wow...
How many NXT's does that use, I can see about 8 motors, and there are probably more, is it a three NXT biped. Woah!
Yes, 8 motors will require 3 Bricks... you can almost see Alpha shaking :)
I see. I love the way that face mask was built, a little Bionicle-Esque(sp?), and this is coming from someone who does not like Bionicle, except for the Zamor launchers:-P
I don't see much in the way of sensors though, except for the US sensor in the head, I can't spot any other sensors (in positions where they would be terribly useful at least) does it use only rotations? Although, I think I spotted a HiTechnic color sensor on Alpha.
Wow, awesomeness.
I can spot four sensors other than the US sensor Maniac - two light sensors on the sides of the front NXT, and two other sensors in the backs of his shoulders.

I am really bad at this apparently :|. and here is the team site. I'd post the link but thn Europe could see.
Look at the left vs the Right hand. the left hand is closed completely.
Go USA
Actually Jim, it is 9 not 8 motors...
