I got an email from Pedro - "After I saw there was not any applications to remote control the NXT from an ordinary java cellphone and many people were asking for it (there was only PC and PDA versions) I wrote one using an IDE called mobile processing. The app is still a beta version and only controls a bot but if I see that people are enjoying it I will put more work into it and implement a lot more functions :)"

I tried it on my SonyEricsson k700i it didnt work. The phone and the NXT was connected and the brogram running but nothing happend. The GUI on the phone just shoved a grey screen, maby thats what it should do, but when i used joystik or buttons nothing happend. Plz make it work for SonyErisson aswell. :)
When the phone connected to the brick, did the brick beeped?
Monday i will have a SonyEricsson k610i to test and im sure it will work :)
Important Note: just turn on the cellphone bluetooth and run NXTSymbian (DONT connect true the cellphone software) just turn on the bluetooth a run the app, nxtsymbian will connect for itself.
When you open the app it must ask for you to press a key to begin the bt search for the nxt.
Maybe thats why you got a gray screen.

Thank you so much for this app. I have a nokia n70. I am an absolute phone nerd. Everything I do is based around "how can i use this with my phone."
I bought this set to use with my phone. 70% reason why I bought the NXT set. I have been googling symbian bluetooth nxt every day since I bought the set. This is the ultimate umeronumero app for me. Please continue develpment of this app. Specifically, I would very much like to see one more control for actuation of 3rd motor (for attack, left/right steering etc).
Just wanted to pass on a huge THANKS for finally developing this app.

I added 3 triggers, keys * 0 #
They send bt message "cmda" "cmdb" "cmdc", you can use them in nxt-g the way you want to activate motors, play sounds whatever :)
They work the same way as "fwd" "rwd" "right" "left" etc.
I really can't make this work on my sonyEricsson. If someone can plz tell me what to do. I tried to turn on bluetooth on the phone and then run the NXYsymbian.jar just as writen above, but all i get is a grey screen, with an EXIT underneath that doesn't work. I have downloaded the .jar file several times and tried to push all buttons on the phone....What to do, i'm desperate.

I have same problem. I've got an SE K510i phone. The program works, it finds my NXT, but I can't pass the "Enter port" screen, because no ports is found. When i try run NXTSYymbian near my PC with bluetooth dongle, it finds PC as device and what is more, it finds port and connection with PC can be established.

When I run the program it finds and connects to my NXT, but then it asks for a port and I don’t know what to do. It gives a list but I don’t know what I’m suppose to do. When I select one it says something about java runtime error -1.
